Suspension of online reservations of appointments for national D visas – update for students.
Student appointments for National D visas in July and August 2023
The embassy of the Slovak Republic in New Delhi will be given appointments for students for National D visas for study at Slovak universities: bachelor's degree, master's degree, PhD studies etc., in July and August 2023.
For the appointment, send us an email to cons.delhi@mzv.sk with the following information:
Full name, date of birth, number of the passport, name of the University, and scanned copy of the acceptance letter. If your Slovak university uses a Slovak agency to prepare the documents, check with them if they also apply for your appointment or if you should do it independently.
Appointments can be booked fast, so please prepare your documents and apply for the appointment as soon as possible. Students with conditional acceptance letters for study should also provide their highest education certificate or diploma with Apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

National D visas for selected categories
The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in New Delhi announces that, with immediate effect, until further notice, it is suspending the previous online reservation system for National D visas for employment purposes for no/low and higher qualification jobs. The Embassy must provide July 2023 and August 2023 dates in the abovementioned categories.
The Embassy will inform about further changes in the reservation system on its website.
Appointments for all other purposes of the National D visa will remain by email only at cons.delhi@mzv.sk. Other purposes of the National D visa can request the appointments for August 2023 from 3 July 2023.
Each email must contain the following information about the applicant –
- name, surname,
- passport number
- and must request the application category with the attached scan copy of the primary document, which confirms the purpose of the stay in Slovakia, e.g. marriage certificate, scholarship letter, acceptance letter, work promise for the highly qualified employee etc.
Emails without requested data and scanned copies of the primary document will not be accepted or deleted automatically.
Due to capacity reasons, do not scan additional documents, only the document confirming the purpose of your stay in Slovakia.
Important notice: Applicants need to submit original documents for the application for temporary residence, which are submitted within the application for a National D visa. Documents for a temporary residence permit must be valid (not older than 90 days) upon applying for temporary residence in the Slovak Republic.
Appointments for applications for permanent and temporary residence for employment of highly qualified employees, ICT, business, family reunion, particular activity etc., for June 2023 can be requested from 3 April 2023 by email at cons.delhi@mzv.sk. Each email request must contain the following information about the applicant – name, surname, and passport number and must request the category of the application with the attached scan copy of the primary document, which confirms the purpose of the stay in Slovakia (e.g. marriage certificate, job offer etc.) or written future Employer Company name with the name of the positions and numeric code of the position. Applications without the requested information will not be accepted or automatically deleted.

Appointments for permanent residence and temporary residence permits for October 2023 can be requested from 1 August 2023.
Applicants for a National D visa with an already granted residence permit apply in person at the Embassy Monday to Thursday from 14.00 – 15.00 hours. The decision from the Foreign Police in the Slovak Republic must be submitted; the text message is insufficient.

List of the supporting documents and further instructions for this type of application
Application for super legalisation of the documents will be in 2023, accepted only on Mondays and Tuesdays (except for Slovak National Holidays or Indian Bank Holidays) between 14.00 and 15.00 hours. One authorised person can submit a maximum of five applications at once. Kindly note that super legalisation is not done on the same day.
KINDLY NOTE
We confirm that all categories' National D visa appointments are fully booked until the end of June 2023. The appointments for the temporary residence permit for all categories are fully booked until the end of May 2023. Once the appointments are taken, the Consular Department is no longer booking for capacity reasons.
