Estonia Reimposes Quarantine for Nationals of Poland, Bulgaria and Romania Due to Increasing Infection Rates
Estonian authorities have decided to reimpose mandatory quarantine for citizens of Bulgaria, Poland and Romania, from today, June 22, as the number of Coronavirus infections rose to over 15 new infections per 100,000 people.
These three countries will join the quarantine list in which are already placed the UK, Sweden and Portugal nationals, according to the data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Previously, the citizens of Bulgaria, Poland and Romania were not required to undergo a two weeks mandatory quarantine, as the number of COVID-19 infections in each country did not exceed 15 new infections per 100,000.
Estonia’s quarantine is updated every Friday by country’s competent authorities and is effective the following Monday.

On June 1, Estonia’s authorities revealed that nationals of European Union and Schengen Zone countries, as well as nationals of the United Kingdom, will be eligible to enter the country, as the Coronavirus situation allowed to take such a step.
Last month, Estonia’s government published new rules regarding the border crossing and the imposed quarantine, as an effort to stop the further spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the government’s announcement, all persons who do not have symptoms of the Coronavirus infection will be permitted to travel between Latvia, Finland and Lithuania, if they have not been in another country for two weeks at the time of travel.
