Anyone who is not a citizen of Hungary who want to work in Hungary requires local documentation to do so. EU citizens require a registration card, whereas nationals of third countries require a work permit. You do not require a work permit if you are a foreign managing director of a Hungarian company and exclusively carry out management-related duties.

EU citizens who want to work in Hungary must get a registration card rather than a work permit. They only need an identity certificate with their photo for that, and they will have the card in a few days.
