In Katowice, a new exciting degree programme on the digital economy has been introduced.
There are just a few days left to apply for a scholarship under the “EU4Belarus: Solidarity with the people of Belarus” programme. If you haven’t heard about it yet, read on to find out more.
The European Union invites Belarusian students to apply for EU4Belarus – SALT (Support for Advanced Learning and Training) scholarships, under the EU4Belarus: Solidarity with the people of Belarus” programme. What are the eligibility criteria?
The scholarship is available to Belarusians who are already studying at Polish, Czech, Lithuanian or Latvian universities or will begin their studies in the academic year 2021/22 or 2022/23, and meet one of the following conditions:
- They were forced to leave Belarus due to political repression following the 2020 presidential election and protests
- They experience financial difficulties or have insufficient means of support
- They have a disability
The beneficiaries of the scholarship will be granted EUR 450 a month (paid from September to June) throughout the entire period of study. Additionally, they will receive a one-time reimbursement to cover their travel expenses.

The EU4Belarus – SALT scholarship programme is delivered in partnership with the governments of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the Czech Republic and funded by the European Union as part of the “EU4Belarus: Solidarity with the people of Belarus” programme which has been implemented in response to the political crisis in Belarus. It aims to provide support for Belarusians in four key areas: civil society and independent media, youth, small and medium enterprises, and health.
