Poland Residence by Investment
Poland, which is situated east of Germany, is a member of the European Union. Poland offers business investors who want to start a business in the country a temporary residence.
In order to be eligible for a temporary residence permit, it effectively allows the investor to set up a business operation and prove that they produce at least EUR 15,000 of income a year. Multiplying the revenue of EUR 15,000 will contribute to more temporary investor residence permits. As a business, investors can invest in real estate. The foreigner can apply for permanent residence in Poland after 3 years of holding the temporary permit. After 3 years of permanent residence, an alien can apply to become a citizen of Poland at the discretion of the government, citizenship by investment is also possible. It is not a straightforward procedure, but investors who invested more than EUR 1 million in the Polish economy have been able to obtain expedited naturalization in the past. With visa-free travel to the U.S. and freedom of movement in the European Union, the Polish passport is one of the best in the world.

Note: A foreign national who wishes to set up one of the partnerships or companies referred to above does not have to legalize his stay in Poland and apply for a work permit in Poland. Members of the family of foreign persons to whom international agreements apply and who can take up a business activity in the form of a limited partnership, limited joint-stock partnership, limited liability company, and joint-stock company, holding a residence permit for an unspecified period, may undertake and conduct business based on the same principles as those foreigners.
Family members holding a temporary residence permit, granted in connection with the arrival or presence in Poland in order to reunite with the foreigners’ family (who hold a residence permit for a specified time and conduct business activity on the basis of an entry in the register of economic activity made on the reciprocity principle) may undertake and conduct business on the same principles as those foreigners.
